Abstract

The National Education Policy( NEP) 2020 represents one of the most comprehensive reforms
in India’s education system in over three decades. It aims to transfigure the educational
structure by emphasizing inflexibility, multidisciplinary literacy, invention, and inclusivity. The
policy also aligns education with sustainable development by integrating skill- grounded
literacy, digital technologies, and exploration- driven academic structures. This exploration
paper analyzes how NEP 2020 contributes to sustainable academic reforms in advanced
education. Using qualitative analysis of policy documents and being literature, the study
explores reforms in class, governance, technology integration, and exploration ecosystems. The
findings indicate that NEP 2020 promotes long- term sustainability by perfecting availability,
encouraging interdisciplinary literacy, and strengthening institutional autonomy, although
effective perpetration remains a challenge.
