A STUDY ON THE FACTORS INFLUENCING INDUSTRIAL SAFETY MANAGEMENT

In recent times , safety management is becoming an important topic in Indian industry.
Effective safety management is necessary to improve safety culture and safety performance.
It is important to study the influencing factors on industrial safety management. Influencing
factors are identified by different researchers from different countries . In India also this
aspect is studied but to a limited extent. After the systematic review of literature about
influencing factors on industrial safety management it is observed that there is significant
relationship between leadership , communication , compliance , competence development ,
OHS systems with safety management’s effectiveness . Safety management’s maturity can be
assessed using the implementation of influencing factors through various practices .
