INTEGRATING AI IN FINTECH: A MULTIDISCIPLINARY STUDY OF STUDENT AWARENESS AND USAGE PATTERNS

Abstract

The rapid integration of Financial Technology (FinTech) into daily financial activities has 
significantly transformed how individuals, particularly students, interact with money management 
tools. This study investigates the awareness, usage patterns, perceptions, and challenges associated 
with FinTech services among a diverse group of 101 students across various academic disciplines. 
Utilizing a descriptive research design and primary data collection through a structured questionnaire, 
the study evaluates key factors such as transaction speed, ease of access, user satisfaction, and data 
security. The findings reveal that while FinTech platforms like UPI, Paytm, and Google Pay enjoy 
widespread adoption and positive reception among students, there remain critical gaps in awareness—
 especially regarding complex tools such as cryptocurrency wallets. Although most respondents 
expressed satisfaction with the speed and convenience of digital transactions, concerns related to 
technical glitches, data privacy, and limited financial literacy persist. The study highlights the need 
for targeted financial education, simplified app interfaces, and institutional support to enhance digital 
financial inclusion. It further emphasizes that student engagement with FinTech can be improved 
through curriculum integration and awareness programs. Overall, the research underscores FinTech's 
growing role in shaping students’ financial behavior and calls for collaborative efforts by developers, 
educators, and policymakers to ensure secure, accessible, and user-friendly FinTech ecosystems.
